TECHNICAL PERFORMANCE
Our technical capabilities include the following:
AUTOREFRACTOMETRY
A method using infrared technology, harmless and accurate, to assess visual defects (hyperopia, myopia, astigmatism).
It helps determine the dioptric power of glasses or contact lenses, which will be prescribed by the ophthalmologist.
After the instillation of drops to temporarily block accommodation (cycloplegic refraction), more precise measurements can be obtained in children.
The portable Spot-Vision SCREENER (Welch Allyn):
The Spot Vision Screener is a portable autorefractor that accurately identifies refractive errors and eye misalignments in both children and adults. It is ideal for adults with small pupils, young children under 5 years old, and patients with disabilities.
TONOMETRY OR INTRAOCULAR PRESSURE MEASUREMENT
Non-contact tonometry:
Air puff tonometer: allows for a quick screening and can be performed by the medical assistant.
Contact tonometry or corneal applanation, after the instillation of an anaesthetic eye drop:
Goldmann tonometry
Resonance sensor tonometry:
BioResonator®
Portable tonometry with the Tonopen®:
For children, bedridden patients or home visits.
